I'd have one request.

Can you make hard limits as large as possible? Soft limits can later be made lower, from a case to case basis, but it's nice to have control over the soft limit, especially for
those who'd later want to make maps that need a higher unit limit for instance.

Hard limits for objects, triggers and others that don't come to mind right now.

Sure, basicly all limits will be changeable as a map or mod setting. Even the "orginal" outpost 3d  count as a mod. But where I need to have a hard coded limit for technical reasons they will be as large as posible.

Thank you!

Once I start making my own money, you're on the "Things to blow my money on" list.

One question, what kind of triggers to fire events are there on a map? Move a unit inside an area/tile, destroy a certain building, retrieve a unit etc. Also if you want any new ones, use the other thread.

A trigger to check if a specific unit has died.

A trigger to check if a unit has been infected by the Blight.

Also, this isn't exactly a trigger, but I'd like a "wait" command.  Something like this would be extremely useful:
Code: [Select]
AddMessage("Commander, our colony is under attack!");
Wait(250); // 2.5 marks
AddMessage("Defend our colony long enough for us to evacuate!");

If I think of anything else I'll let you know.

i guess a trigger which is activated by uncovering the fog of war covering a T.H.I.N.G. (building, unit) would be usefull for creating storys as a modder

OP2 has no fog of war. There's not enough atmosphere and surely not enough moisture for fog.

Whilst winds are still possible, you could argue on the topic of temporary dust storms which kind of don't let you see what's in them, but which also damage what's in them and incapacitates units.

And remember, you have satellite view (don't ask me how, you just do).

So, in the spirit of OP2 (of which OP 3D is a 3D remake with some added touches), FoW stays out.

Oh, that. The dark stuff is practically night. Things are only "hidden" in night areas when they have no lights, but the area is not completely black. You can still see details (terrain, units, buildings) if you look closely.

And some more OP 3D feature Requesting!

Functions that return useful numbers, such as no. of unoccupied Scientists, no. of unoccupied Workers, Unused Power, net Food Production and the likes.

1. GUI scripting system such as blizzards warcraft 3 editor, makes scripting much easier, if not gui then atleast a database of all available script and accelerators for typing them.

2. Zoom to minimap zooming made famous by supreme commander

3. Removal of many unbalanced units/structures from outpost 2.

Good luck on the project!
Pumping out awsome.
