The official links don't work half of the time. Here's a mirror:

From your site, it looked like it was purposefully removed by you.

ah... perhaps because i have ignored my renegades' e-mail.
Ever since i made it public, i'm receiving loads of spam; i set the mailbox to a very limited size and it has been full ever since (bouncing everything)

I will upload the file

[edit] on second thought: the file WAS already on the server; but it had a capital R, while the link has a small r. I fixed it now: it will download ok now B)

The problem must have first appeared after i changed servers, early last year. The server that first hosted the files was a case-insensitive win2k server. So, in checking all my files after the transfer, one of them must have slipped by my testing... sorry...

(i checked logs, there's over 1,000 requests for the missing file since last year, i guess an apology is in place here for all who weren't able to get the install from the official Renegades' site).

Yes, apologize by working on Renegades more.  ;)

Haha! That's awesome. I've heard of differences like that between how URLs are parsed by different web servers, but I never really thought of errors like that. I figured it'd be a user error resuqesting a resource directly by typing in the URL. Not because a link on the website itself had wrong casing.

I've been aware of this problem ever since i first worked with Apache, Linux/UNIX being case sensitive.
Before that i used Xitami which ran on a windows 98 system and later on w2k. Neither of those systems are case sensitive and nor is Xitami, so the casing "bug" never showed up, until i moved everything to a linux server.

And for those of you that are/have played Renegades And enjoyed it.. there may be hope soon. I've *just* bought Visual Studio 2008 and i need to check if it can compile Renegades when i get back home (i don't have the source online anywhere and i'm currently not home).
The reason i stopped developing it, is that my current job requires me to work with Borland/Inprise/CodeGear (sorry, they keep changing their company name) and working with 2 totally different IDEs only confuses me.
