Armodillo

Ok... the idea of the idea for the Armodilo is to create a vehicle capable of ovverriding impassable terrain such as lava, craters, etc... However in order to balance (or try to) this vehicle I thought that the vehicle could be a fragile vehicle that would require another vehicle to use it's terrain override feature.

The Armodillo could be launched over a small distance via a susrb or (single use solid rocket booster) system which would auto eject and selfdestruct when they ran out of fuel. Once ejected the Armodillo could use a air bag system (like the ones used on the mars probes) to soften the impact. Also in order to level the ability out this vehicle would be an arachnid class ConVec and would thus require several Micro-Kits in order to biuld a structure (maybe like 6).

In order to prevent usage of unusable area's it is simple, the unit would require a launch vehicle that would add the booster systems onto the vehicle and would provide a launch ramp. Also the air bag system on the Armodillo requires that the rocket boosters be ejected and that the vehicle have sufficent time before impact to deploy the air bags. This would mean that you could permitt it to bounce off the side of a cliff, however if you tried to deploy it on top the vehicle would be so close to the ground that the air bag system wouldn't have time to deploy which would cause the vehicle to be destroyed on impact.

The explanation of that is that it only has sufficent altitude to be at the same height as the cliff at the momment the boosters burn out.... and that means that the momment the boosters actually ejected it would be to close to the ground that it would collide in less than a second and blow up. So... if you distance it properly you can bounce it off a cliff face but if you don't it will crash and BURN!!!

Boosters cannot be told where or when to eject, they only eject when their fuel cells are depleted!!!

For some reason I doubt this will even be entirely read before it is locked...

On 2nd thought:
Great... Based on information, I guess this topic is going to be locked and I'm going to be told NEVER to talk about this idea again.

Stop re-posting the same ideas over and over again. Doing that is spam. Your posting privileges could be revoked if you keep doing it.

Oh, and btw, don't post in the shoutbox about it. Calling the moderators 'dwits' is not going to earn you many brownie points here.
