All these problems sound like bugs with your computer. All them you are explaining work fine for me and I am sure they do for everyone else. Check your IE settings to make sure nothing is messed up.

I suggest trying a different web browser like Firefox or Opera.

Mozilla has problems on other forums as well and the only way to fix it is to either ake more cross browser s*** into the forums which can cause more of a problem then needed.

Just get Firefox IE or Opera.  All those browsers are pretty much the same now so it shouldnt matter.  Go with what works not what has hype or when you think is PRO!!!!11111111

omg you guys, the text effects are specific to internet explorer. firefox and mozilla dont support them so you wont see them. if you fire up IE and look at the same page as in firefox youll see the effects. its not a bug and its not a problem with your computer. since the effects are proprietary IE tags other browsers cannot support them. mozilla has its own set of text effects but some older scripts dont support them.

And about web-based irc, its a java applet. different browsers handle java differently. some are better than others, some are buggy, some just plain dont work at all. use a mature version of a mainstream browser like firefox or mozilla or IE. things like opera or Konqueror arent as well supported.

you could have found all this out in 2 minutes of googling.

Get this addon for firefox:

IE Tab https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/1419/
Allows you to render a webpage in IE within a Firefox Tab/Window (uses Chrome://)

Enjoy :D

That is handy but pretty much defeats the purpose of using a non-IE browser. It would be easier just to add Firefox support to the script.

If someone wants to give me some pointers on creating glow filters in Mozilla / Firefox (filter:glow(...); is an IE-specific CSS attribute), I'll add support to the script.

I wasn't able to find anything online as far as CSS filters in Mozilla are concerned.

ok . i can see this is about forum "bugs"

1. The Halo around the Names is not seen  > correct (i use IE -> no halo .. other then that: i cannot even "use it" anymore.. the link is not there or doesnt respond - i forgot which one it was)

2. Underlining is not seen > names are underlined by dewfault, sice they are links to the person's profile. So if you have IE set to NEVER underline, then i guess u won't see those lines

3. Smileys are not animated > MY smileys DO animate (using IE)

the other bugs, i have never seen, or don't even know what ur talking about!

* for most of it: i don't care much about itL: this forum is for discussing stuff. If you want smileys, cool effects etc, start using MS Messenger, i'm told it has all that and more (and it f***s up your pc real good/bad :P)
