Screenshot Utility
« on: May 08, 2005, 09:05:11 AM »
Version 2 is available here

Here is version 1.1 of the Outpost2 ScreenShot Utility!

Download: here

How to use:
  • Enter Filename into the "Save To"-box. The screenshots will be named
    according to the FileNameFormat.
  • Set the quality/compression level after clicking on "Quality"
  • Set HotKeys you want to use. "HotKey for ScreenShot" is the key to press for
a screenshot which will be immediately saved to disc when HotKey is pressed
  • Set the HotKey for hiding/showing the main window (if you hide it, make sure
you don't forget to unhide it later)
  • "Current ScreenShot Number" is the number that will be included into the
filename of the next screenshot according to the FileNameFormat.
If "Don't overwrite existing Files" is checked the programm will try to get
another filename by increasing the ScreenShot Number (only of use when the
FileNameFormat contains the number). The number will be increased by max.
1000. If an unused filename cannot be found the screenshot won't be saved.
  • 'Outpost2 - Window = Screen" will take a picture of the area that is covered
by the op2 window instead of the full screen. Not really of use, unless you're
    playing in windowed mode.
  • You may also set the minimum delay between screenshots. If set to 0 you
might end up with really many ScreenShots when pressing the HotKey a few
    secs longer
  • switch the whole thing on by clicking on the button that is currently switched
"OFF". If the switch isn't "ON" HotKeys will do nothing
Default settings should work for most people, so you won't have to go through every detail in order to use the prog.

One thing you should be aware of is that generally jpeg is the best format for
large screenshots. pngs might be ok. Don't use Bitmaps if you don't have a
good reason to.

Have Fun !

ooo, this would be awesome for getting a mass-super to base attack at just the right moment (Which I've tried with the standard screen shot, only to have it fail due to reaction delay)

too bad the post is from before the server-switch....

TH300!  get you butt up and get the file running again!
