anemometer

I always wondered what the hell that was called lol.

Anyway I would like to bring up that there not windmills but turbines.  Windmills are those things in holland that make flour.

anemometer generator

An anemometer is a device for measuring the velocity or the pressure of the wind, and is one instrument used in a weather station.

Anemometers may be divided into two classes: those that measure the velocity of the wind, and those that measure the pressure of the wind, but as there is a close connection between the pressure and the velocity, a suitable anemometer of either class will give information about both these quantities.

Doesnt sound like much of a power source Freeza.

Look at the model using its Cup design to turn the generator with out having to worry about towers and wind direction.

Okay, you got me on the nomenclature. It is actually a turbine. But with that said, it wouldn't really be called an anemometer either (because that's a measurement device). So I guess they'd actually be called a wind turbine but I'll call it "anemometer style".

Anyway...  Side note, the windmills in Holland are also turbines. They don't grind flower but are actually connected to water pumps. The dutch actually created a system of dams and levees in part of the channel and pumped water out to create more usable land.

The turbine thing offcourse.

KISS: Wind power plant
stupid idea: wind pannel (solar panel derivate)
fair idea: wind extractor

I like the Anemo Generator because it sounds more like something that would be in OP. Like GeoCon and Tokamak. But I suppose to be more correct, it would be an Anemo Turbine? Either way, they both sound good.

And now that I think about it, generator makes sense too since it ultimately creates power.

Enamel is the stuff on your teeth.

I don't know about slimmer. I'd think you'd want something beefy to stand up to the winds.

I also thought we were talking mostly about the cup design, as it wouldn't care about wind directionality. Standard weather vane types might whip around a lot...

the Anemometer design doesnt have to worry so much about that because its not that tall or spire like.  But who is to say that one cant be Edens and the other Plyms :)
