Well, as some of you have already witnessed, our IRC server now runs on a different, faster machine. Hopefully, the server will be even more responsive (on a machine with less users).
For those of you having problems connecting, try using /server 69.61.60.70 to connect until your ISP's DNS caches update.
As for maintenance. The main server will be shut down on Monday, October 9 from around 3:00 - 3:30 PM EST to test the new configuration and make sure all security settings are set up the way they should be. (The actual work shouldn't take more than a few minutes, so the outage won't last the whole 30 minutes, hopefully).
Likewise, I will be working on Services tonight and tomorrow as well to clear up a few bugs we've been having with the Services server (this shouldn't result in much more than intermittent outages though).
If the work cannot be done tomorrow (Monday afternoon) then we will re-schedule it for a later date.
