okay... so far we know:
The person was tortured to death for reasons not currently known (other than the king being a sadist). It was a time of castles and not guns. An Iron Maden was used (relance unknown). The executioner and victim were aquaintances, but didn't know eachother that well. This relation was the reason the killed man was chosen. This man was not a threat to the king. This was not the exectioner's normal job, and killing was not in his job skills.
