I'm Brenton Rothchild.
DOB: Jan 7, 1980
Location: Des Moines, Iowa, USA
I'm a Linux guy by trade, but love OP/OP2 and was thinking about developing my own OP3. Much like others, I found this site
So, if there's anything I can do in any capacity for OP3 development, feel free to contact me (email@example.com
, AIM:"SDS Storage Boy").
I'm good in the C/C++ area, used to develop in MFC/Windows in a former life (around the Win95/NT4.0 timeframe
). Now, I do a lot of Linux work, both kernel and application-level work. I'm really well versed in UNIX in general, especially filesystems, systems management, and network programming.
I also did some 3D rendering work with VR setups (go powerglove (thumbsup) )
a while ago.
Anyway, again: please let me know if there's anything I can do for any OP3 related projects in the way of programming, algorithms, graphics, etc. I'm eager to help with anything to further the ideas I've seen around here!
Formally, I've gone to Iowa State University for Computer Engineering (bachelor's); I was also involved with the ISU Solar Car Team (see Team PrISUm Solar Car Homepage
) as an electrical team member, then co-leader
of the electrical team. Thus, I'm pretty well versed with microcontrollers,
embedded software environments, solar technologies, battery chemistries
(limited to lead-acid, lithium [including polymer], and NiMH), and a few
other areas related to general solar racing
