When you finish maybe could you create a map program that is similar to games such as warcraft 3, I believe the map making system those type of games have is superior because it allows the common gammer to make his own world.

Although I sound like I might be asking for alot, I'm only asking as suggestion.

I'd highly suggest though, to test and test for bugs.

Don't release BETA's of a Map editors, because some people might get discouraged with it when they see all the bugs.

It's best to have an offical included with the Game Release it's self. So people would see confident with it.

If you want to look at other models to see "how they did it"

That's not high praise for something you got for free. That someone made on their own time. And had to hack and wade through code to get it all figured out. If it's that bad, perhaps you could help out the community and create a better one that is compatible with OP2.

Oh God, not that again...

But we're not talking about that or the OP2Mapper here. Keep it to OP3.
I don't think anyone really knows the details, but I think it's safe to say that you won't need to make separate terrains and mission dlls for OP3.

I wouldn't say they are 3-D they don't jump off the screen at you it just has the illusion of something 3-D.

The maps will have 3 dimensions (x, y, and altitude). But yes, they will be projected onto a 2D plane (your monitor).

When you say

are you implying that there should be a map editor? Or that it should have the functionality of W3, etc?
