Well i think its time we compared 3D stats as genesis is 3D. Im not sure what version of directx it will be using but lets start our comparaison with the version of 3D Mark that needs the minimum specs of computer.

If you dont know what 3D Mark is it is benchmarking software which gives you info on the power of your machine.

You can download 3D Mark 2001 SE from here.

Run 3DMark2001-SE.exe and install, just click next when it asks you to enter a reg code. Exit all other programs. Run the program and click benchmark. It will run 17 tests and take about 6mins to complete.

It will tell you your overall score when its finished. Edit the desc. Save the project as a txt file.

I got 1075 3D marks.

Dont worry about runing the others.

My specs are:
CPU: 3.2Ghz HT P4
RAM: 1024MB
GFX: Radeon 7000

And that's just 2001's technology... you'd probably do even worse on '03 and '05.

I got 6481 3DMarks (not running on default settings). 1280x1024, 6x AA, 16x AF, triple frame buffer, 24-bit Z depth, high detail. I'm sure I'd get more 3DMarks if I left the settings at their defaults. My card was not overclocked at the time of running the benchmark. My specs:

CPU: 3.0 GHz P4 w/HT
RAM: 1024 MB
GPU: Radeon X850XT Platinum AGP 8x

I got 6534 marks :D  on a AMD 3500+ with 512 meg ram and a ATI radion 9600 SE with 128 meg ram WITH antialiasing I got a MUCH lower score of 5093 :angry:

After overclocking (still not running tests on default settings), I got 6517 3DMarks. Let me run on default settings real quick...

6536 3DMarks. Though, overclocking my video card caused all sorts of vertex artifacts to appear and lots of skipping; I'm afraid I'll have to restore the default clock settings. After I do that, let me run the benchmark on defaults again...

6527 3DMarks non-overclocked (default settings). Damn it, the vertex artifacts and skipping still occurred after restoring default clocks. Must be card's current heat.


After using Omega drivers and overclocking to 555/600, I got somewhere around 7221 (1280x1024, rest of the settings default) 3DMarks.

yea, that numbers probly right. my 3dmarks was somewhere in the 6k range last thing i knew, on std settings and oc'ed.

Umm.... is it me or do I have one of the most powerful comps in these forums  :heh: btw my computer is running at stock which is:
CPU @ 2.2Ghz
Video Card @ 460Mhz core, 1.35Ghz Ram
Ram @ 400Mhz bus 2-3-3-5 latency

Actually, I had VSync on during all my other benchmarks, and turned it off for my latest benchmark, which probably has something to do with the massive 3DMark increase.

as far as gfx power ur prolly right oprime; but for raw proccessing power i'm the best. (AMD64 OC'ed to 2.2ghz running in 64bit mode. )  :P

O..o  I got a 1234 ??? wah?   it doesnt even recognize my cpu type and many other things :-p maybe ill try the newest verion of that program

My computer is a piece of sh*t, It's 866 mhz, 40GB HD, 256 mb ram, and the rest is so bad i don't really care what it is. I'm not even sure if it has a video/graphics card in it!

:P well if you can see something on your comp screen I'd say you have a video card. Well I've upgraded some componets on my computer. Check out my computers newest stats. My computer runs at or about 108F-125F on Full Load!

I'd also like to point out that the DFI NFII Ultra AL has to be the best motherboard for older socket A CPU's ever. Its the same DFI NFII lanparty mobo just striped down :D.

Hmm, took a look at that website for the download. I'm a little surprised that a benchmark lists minimum system requirements. :P

Btw, what does it mean if your computer doesn't meet the minimum system requirements for a benchmark?


(Oh, and my video card is on the motherboard. Whenever the harddrive is really busy, all the lines on my screen start going fuzzy. Makes the window borders look more like sine waves than lines. )
