Yep, that's right  ;)

IBStore has been reinstalled. The latest and greatest version to be exact. (Well, the last version that exists. They stopped making it)

All the old data from the store long ago still exists -- everyone's credits should have been preserved and old items should be there.

You can visit the store by using the mod dropdown menu in the main bar.

If you have any problems or suggestions for the store, please post them here.

Have fun!

eh. Rock was just a test.

I have to delete and recreate all the items, since they aren't working properly. This is gonna take awhile since I have to reedit all the board files for the items to work.

Edit: Most of the items were recreated. The ??? item was not, because it works totally different than it did in the older version of IBStore.

Also: Everyone's bank balance has been reset to zero. Everyone's points have also been reset to 500. (This is to prevent the people with lots of points from buying out the entire store). Sorry to all, but I don't want you rich ones to buy up everything! :P

I haven't the slightest idea... All I did was to set people's points to 500 if their points were above 500 to start.

Err, points = credits? And if so, does it really matter how many points people have? Isn't building up your points part of the fun? I'm sure the store would get really boring fast if you started off with too many points.

true.
And there's not much to go around it anyway.. 4 items to buy ?

... "Increase your interest rate by 3%! Get it soon, they're going fast!"  No one can afford it yet, how can they be "going fast" ??

awwww :(

I had like 10000000 credits/points somewhere, why didn't I get the 500 which other people got?
However, it'd be better if you just reset EVERYONE's credits to zero.

If everyone wants me to delete everyone's credits, I can do that.

(That may be best.. everything seems to have gone out of sync, like the money counts and what not. Probably also the reason that some people seem to be 'losing' credits).

spirit1flyer: We used to have the IBStore installed long ago. I left all the old IBstore records behind from long ago.

Hooman: yes, Points = Credits. "points" is the internal name used by IBstore, I changed it to "credits" since that's more representative of OP2. (Read the help file 'story' about the Structure factory... you'll see references to "ration credits" or something like that).

As far as there not being 'much to buy': Anyone want me to create items?

Any IBstore item is fair game, as well as new items (if you can tell me how the item will work, so I can code it if I need to).

I might create items like lynxes etc, not much of a use but they'd be fun to have. (Well, perhaps I could add on to the IBStore, and make it possible to have 'battles' with lynxes etc, for money, so on).

CK9: Lol, yep, I knew you'd want to buy up the entire store :P
Maybe we should have a "buy CK9" item? :heh:

So yeah, tell me if you want me to reset all the money in the store to zero.

Also; I'll add a side note: Everyone who had previously bought a Glow effect on their name from before will still have their effect.

Another note: Adding items.. I won't create any items that allow people to do moderation actions. (Pinning/Locking topics, etc).

I know I was around then too I had maybe 35 credits. But if it was old records why does so many people have the same amount?

I mentioned earlier, everyone who had more than 500 credits got their credits set to 500.

Everyone's bank balance was set to 0.

The actual query I ran on the DB was
Code: [Select]
UPDATE inv_members SET points=500 WHERE points>500;

Edit: I just reset everyone's points, bank information, glow effects, etc all to the defaults. so everyone now has 10 credits.

Edit again: Changed the currency name to Ore. Makes more sense. (I'd be interested in adding Rare Ore at some point, which would be harder to get)

if hacker includes rare ore, it should be not so easy to get. I don't like 1 rare for 100 commen, nor do I like 100 commen for 1 rare. If one might at all convert one ore to another that should cost 25% of the ore converted.

Well, I was thinking along the lines of rare ore is obtained when you start a topic or get at least 25 replies. (Currently you get a 5 bonus if you make a topic and you get 25+ replies)

And I don't think it should be able to convert rare -> common. (Thats like alchemy, changing rocks into gold.. lol)
It's up to everyone really.. YOU'RE the ones using the store more than I do..

You are so right. No way to convert commen to rare!

Make rare really rare, probably no interest for rare.
