Title: Flame Warriors
Post by: leeor_net on August 22, 2016, 12:13:08 AM
Was doing another forum crawl and came across this post: http://forum.outpost2.net/index.php/topic,3000.0.html

New link as the one there is dead: http://www.flamewarriorsguide.com/

http://www.flamewarriorsguide.com/warriorshtm/target.htm: Reminds me a lot of haXtor back in the day. I remember coming to his defense a number of times particularly in IRC when he was getting unfairly roasted.

Not sure where I fall into these descriptions though.

A very curious list, which I find myself both disturbed by, and oddly drawn to.

It is frighteningly accurate.

I see you as the Royals only without the 'holier than thou' attitude: http://www.flamewarriorsguide.com/warriorshtm/royals.htm

You are well respected as one of the elite and you tend to not involve yourself in petty squabbles but when decisive action is needed it's swift and swaying.

Though I'll say after the Genesis disaster OPU quieted down considerably. Only fragments of the war remain.

*rollseyes*

I wonder if this site is similar to how fortunes and horoscopes work. Provide a little detail that's easy for many people to relate to, and keep the rest general enough that it can apply to anybody. It's clever, and dare I say even a little fun. The descriptions are also a little on the insulting side, so I'm hesitant to call anyone out. Even though that's exactly what makes reading through it fun. There's a tendency to think of certain people while reading those. Evil Clown?

It's very tempting to try something subversive, like start a poll with a description, and a name, and see how many people agree. I don't recommend doing this though.

Might have to agree with you there. I'd like to think we've transcended petty bickering. Most of us have grown up, some of us even have kids now.

It's still an entertaining read though.   :D
