Win = 3/ Loss =20+
Feel free to edit your score.
NOTE: This is only for people who want to participate IN the tournament over the summer.
-
I played many games, probably over 100. I have about a 1/2 ration of wins/loses.
-
i have a good ratio only because i play as a teacher and not a student. basically i only lose when i match up against non-newbies.
i never did keep track of my records though
-
Uh, yeah, don't expect any accurate answers.
-
I thought tourneys were supposed to start everyone off at 0/0.

Wow, thats a surprise! :heh:
As for myself I've played too many games to know what my score is. These days I probably have a win rate 0f 50-75% ?

you had to quote that, didn't you.... :/ :P
anyways, IF and WHEN a tournament starts all scores should/will be 0/0/0(Win/Lose/Tie) or many of us may not participate. expecaly when we know that older members will have the advantage with 100+ wins from matches before the tournament that count in the tournament

My win/loss-ratio is probably around 60%. But it really depends on who you play against. I played against many new people, lately. In the games against Highlander the ratio is probably 33%. But it also depends on whether you and your opponents give their best. I usually play just for fun which means that I don't do everything to win.
But whats really bad is the missing possibility of including survivor games and team matches in this ratio. About 50% of the games I play belong in one of those categories.
Conclusion: the ratio is inaccurate and doesn't tell you much.

I just need a rough estimate. The tourny will reet it to 0, but for a beginner/expert, I NEED TO KNOW WHO IS GOOD :P
So If you guys can come up with a rough estimate, that'd be fine.
-
im horrible except when i play a person equal to me.(shadow, darkwing, your getting there. keep up your work :D) i rarely lose because i rarely go against anyone better then i. i'd rather team up then sit back and watch their efforts then learn from them.
on a scale of 1-10(10 is best) i'd be a 6. capable of giving you a fight, but not so great at keeping you running.
people like Highlander and th300 probably would be 8-9. capable of making you beg for mercy at mark 200-300
-
Well in that case, do you want to be in the beginner or expert?
I am leaning more towards the expert :P
-
How do you define a good player ?
And would you prefer to have all players ranked ?
-
If I were to class it, it would go something like:
A: Do you know the tech tree?
B: Do you know basic things like smelter set up, hotkeys, and build order?
C: Do you know Eden and Plymouth, with strengths and weaknesses?
-
Gah, I have to go with something similar to spike's but with the percentages (over 55 and under 54)
-
Does it count as a win if your opponent(s) disconnect? :P
Too many over a large span of time to know for sure, but I think it balances out.
-
If your opponent bails (unless you destroyed all but his CC, and left, being a jerk-face, thumb twidler) then you count as a win.

Ahh, good times, good times....
I again state i am in the middle stage.... if i go with the advanced players i will be guaranteed to lose. however with the progress i have witnessed from you other beginners, i will have an even match. im in beginner just so i have a chance....

CRUEL AND UNUSUAL PUNISHMENT!
Still funny to watch though. But NO doing that during comp. That just makes the game take longer... and the savant say useless things.
