No one has really looked into it, but there is this open source game that is 3D and would be a great basis for Outpost because it has quite some simaliarites it. The game is called WarZone 2100 (http://wz2100.net/). I just do not know enough about programming to make it myself, but someone is bound to find it useful.

script and code are 2 different demons.

any way. There was a guy with some 3d models around here look for posts done by the name fenirsul. As for your project we have seen many come and go so we wont be leaping for joy unless some thing actually happens.

You might want to re-spell "gay" to "guy", Freeza. The reason should be obvious enough.

And no, joy will not arise until we see sustained progress and actually difficult sections of game design covered.

Yes, sounds.vol

My personal way of extracting stuff from .vols is using the mapper to extract one file at a time (because it crashes on multiple file extraction). There's also a VOL extractor, but I don't know much about it.

Also, with my less than 1-month old external hard now dead, I have no access to any of my Outpost 2 resources, so I won't be able to extract anything for you.

Does someone already have the files all ready extracted?

I doubt it's something people keep handy.

If this is hinting to you wanting someone else to do the extraction for you, having been given working methods of doing the extraction yourself, then know that doubts about your success will grow.

Come now Hidiot.  There have never been doubts about the success of his project.  It is doomed to failure, like all the others.

Oh, cry me a river.  Prove you know what you're doing and then we'll care.  But until we see concrete results you get nothing.

This is very true. We have seen so many of these projects. Alot with people like you  that say support support then nothing happens or the people that go to help never do any thing because there is nothing to do. Or the owners of such prjects were just jerks that i believe wanted to show off what they can do and not really do a project. Any way. Around here and in real life you need to show some of what you can do and some of what you have done before your going to get any help just as sirbomber stated. Its nothing personal its just life.

Not supporting a project is one thing that I find acceptable, considering that many have failed already. But being pessimistic and posting discouraging statements is something different. Its not needed.

Yes, projects can fail and some will fail, but which those are, you don't know before. Don't pretend you do.

Looks interesting. I would like to help, if possible (but, as stated, projects seem to die quicker then our member count). I would like for you to release the source asap thou (since we always get in the position were people make a project, it looks nice, but then leave and never release the source code for the project).
