Leeor, you know FORTRAN? Wow. (has a Computer Programming pamplet that says all of the programming languages) Isn't that, like, old and stuff?

Anyways:

Some BASIC

Good at problem solving

Drawing (Paper and pencil. I'm mainly a Manga Artist for fun.)

Windows (I know the ins and outs of it)

Basic computer knowledge (Hardware types, functions, what not to do and what to do, etc.)

Learning Visual Basic (I just got the program.)

Little HTML

Writing (Pretty good. I'm writing a story at the moment and waiting for the Genesis story template so we can start working on it)

However, I'd love to learn how to code. So, I'm also here to learn from the masters. I'm ana wesome gamer, though. I love RPGs.

Yeah, it's old. And worthless to know at that. But I like to challenge myself and work with things just so that I know them. However, FORTRAN programs are used to a small degree on the main frame at my dad's company so I needed to know a little bit to fix a problem in the code a couple of times.

Electrical Contracting (We're the guys that install the switches and lights you flick on everyday without a second thought as to how the stuff works.)

2D Graphics Design (Fireworks, Photoshop, GIMP)

Web Design (PHP, HTML, JavaScript, XML, CSS, etc.)

Database Integration (MSAccess, MySQL, PostgreSQL)

Microsoft 3.1 -> Longhorn/Vista (Everything in-between)

Certified Apple iPod Technician (I went to their little classes for 4 months, and got certified. I only did it because I lost a bet, but it has it's perks*)

Investing (Avid investor, own 300 shares of Microsoft (MSFT), and some little stuff on the side to make some extra cash).

Intermediate/Mid-Way
--
C++/C# Coding (I really suck at it, but when necessary, I can make my stuff work).

Computer Assembly (I've built ~40 systems total out of parts I've purchased in my years, so I daresay I'm at least PRETTY GOOD at it.)

Beginner

Visual Basic (I wish I was better at it, it's such a simple language, I'm just still learning it..)

You kno, I haven't worked with the program for a month, and I can't find it now...I really got to get my desktop up and running (my dad is letting me have the one with win98 on it and a keyboard and mouse I found, lol.  Now we just need to get that monitor off the high shelf and I can at least get it working for now...) so I can move files over to it.

my main problem was that I try to teach myself how to use stuff.  Tutorials have never helped me, as the pace is always too slow and I lose intereset in them, :heh:

Ancient thread and I replied once but I'll own up -- I was being dishonest with myself and everybody else and claiming I had strong knowledge of things when I only had passing interest.

So, updated skills list:

Visual Basic .Net
C / C++
Java
ASM (minor x86 and very minor 6502 (NES)
PHP (passing knowledge, enough to understand what's going on and make modifications)
Lua (passing knowledge)
A+ and Net+ Certification

Non-Programming
Basic electrical engineering
Microsoldering skills (can remove/replace fine pitch surface mount components including IC's, FPC Connectors and backlight components)
General electronics soldering skills (have recapped/replaced components on older 8/16/32 bit consoles, have not looked into newer units)
ASE Certification (automotive parts specialist and mechanical repairs)
