Due to some office maintenance at the IRC server location, there is some schedueled downtime (just a day or two). While it's down, there's always the forum

He doesn't have to be extremely active to make sure things happen. I'm sure we have a way of contacting him should the need arise. If you have a problem with his activity, take it up with him, not the public board.

I talked to Galactic last night and they are supposed to be installing the networking Wednesday (5/5 or so).
There isn't much we can do currently; irc runs on a machine that's not in a datacenter environment due to restrictions on what we can do (most of them either disallow IRC in their acceptable use policy or block it at the network border, due to its tendency to be used for illegal purposes such as controlling zombies that are part of a botnet).
